Pulse metronome
Keep time while building or practicing, with a personal click and a pocket metronome.
Open Tools → Metronome / Pulse and it starts ticking; the power switch turns it off and on. Only you hear it, and other players choose their own settings. The tempo and time signature in Pulse are the session’s own, so changing them changes the song for everyone in the room. Hold + or − to move the tempo quickly. If you can’t edit the session, or a challenge locks a value, Pulse just shows it. Minimize it to a small tile that counts the bar, with a tall tick for each beat and a short one for each subdivision; select the tile to reopen settings. Drag the header or the tile to place it anywhere on screen. Leaving the room turns it off.
Choose Click, Woodblock, Soft pulse, or Shaker, then Beats, 8ths, Triplets, or 16ths. The Accent fader sets the first beat of each bar and the Beat fader sets the others. Reduced motion keeps the arm still and lights the beats instead.
With a controller, confirm a fader to edit it, use left/right to adjust, and Back to finish. Select Move Pulse to reposition it with the stick or D-pad. Back minimizes the panel. With a keyboard, focus the header grip and use arrow keys to move it; Escape minimizes.
Keep ticking when paused is on by default, so you can practice with playback stopped; resuming the song realigns Pulse to its beat. Turn it off and Pulse stops with playback. Keyboard and sampler recording clicks take audio priority to avoid a doubled click. Pulse is excluded from composition captures and exports.
